showing a 1931 Deusenberg, Rollston Victoria, J-456: #247 of the first 300 Chevrolet Corvettes released in 1953, and antique guns at the Magee Museum in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
The Magee Transportation Museum opened in the mid 1960's just out-side of Bloomsburg, PA along the Bloomsburg-Millville Road. The old stone farmhouse became the site where the vision of one Harry Magee would become reality, here the Magee Transportation Museum was formed along with the Magee Shortway Electric Railroad. Harry Magee, wealthy owner of the Magee Carpet Company which was a manufacturer of fine-quality rugs and carpeting had that familiar love for vehicles of all types, and had acted on that affection by creating an antique car museum and trolley line.
The museum and trolley rides operated until the summer of 1972 until the flooding caused by Hurricane Agnes caused extensive damage to the tracks, overhead lines and equipment. Then in October of 1972 Harry Magee passed away. With the family no longer wanting to operate the museum, an auction was to be held in June 1973 to sell off the trolleys, cars, and museum pieces.
